Provider agreement

Terms between EMPOWR (Pty) Ltd, operator of FIX IT, and each independent service provider using the platform.

1. Independent contractor status

Providers on FIX IT are independent contractors. Nothing on the platform creates an employer / employee relationship. Providers set their own availability, choose which jobs to accept, use their own tools and are responsible for their own tax affairs and statutory registrations.

2. Verification & compliance

Providers must maintain valid ID, trade qualifications where applicable, public liability insurance, Police Clearance Certificate (where applicable) and — where staff are employed — a valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing. Documents that lapse suspend eligibility to receive jobs.

3. Fees & payments

FIX IT applies the platform & protection fee published on /how-it-works per the fee rule in force at the time of the job. Payments are released to the provider after work is confirmed complete and any dispute window has passed.

4. Conduct & anti-disintermediation

Providers must not solicit off-platform payment or off-platform contact for jobs sourced through FIX IT. All communications during an active job must remain in the in-app chat. Breaches result in suspension and potential removal.

5. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement on notice. FIX IT may suspend or remove providers for safety, compliance, fraud or consistent quality concerns, subject to the appeals process.
